Hampshire Country Club About Hampshire Country Club
Hampshire Country Club is a private, member-owned club, organized in 1944. It is a family-oriented club that offers a full range of sports and social activities. We are justifiably proud of our beautiful facilities, excellent food and congenial atmosphere.
Our 18-hole golf course was designed by Devereaux Emmet. It has recently undergone a complete renovation under the guidance of noted golf architect Stephen Kay. Improvements included a significant redesign and updating of all holes with an emphasis on enhancing both the playability and beauty of the course, as well as a new sprinkler system, and improved drainage.
Hampshire facilities also include a driving range, chipping and putting greens, 7 Har-Tru tennis courts, a heated pool, children's pool and playground. A fitness facility, steam room and masseur are also available. Our Dining Room, outdoor dining patio and swimming pool feature expansive views of the Long Island Sound.

| Description |
| The golf course was built in 1927 designed by Devereux Emmet. The greens are small and elevated, and the fairways are narrow and tree lined. The terrain is hilly, and ponds come in to play on seven holes. The signature hole is #18, a 367-yard, par 4, which has water on the right side of the fairway and side of the green. Ed Ault and Frank Duane redesigned portion of the golf course in the early 1960s. Steven Kay designed a golf course renovation and beatification master plan complete with bunker restoration, new forward tees, several new tees and two new greens. |
