This is a very private club where guests must be accompanied by a member in order to play the course. The course was built on undulating terrain, so expect some uneven lies. The tree-lined fairways are somewhat narrow, and the fairly level greens are always well maintained. The ladies have some long par 4's and 5's to manage. One of the most difficult holes is #14, a 448-yard, par 4, which requires two extremely long shots just to reach its small green in regulation. "Golf Digest" rated this as the 20th "Best in State" course for the years 1995 through 1998. The other tee shown is an additional men's tee. > The 18-hole "Century" course at the Century Country Club facility in Purchase, New York features 6,807 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71. The course rating is 73 and it has a slope rating of 130 on Bent grass. Designed by Colt & Alison, the Century golf course opened in 1908. Burton Ward manages the course as the General Manager.
