Description
This old, traditional course is very hilly and can be strenuous to walk. The fairways are narrow and bordered by thick rough, and the small greens are well bunkered. There are ponds and streams coming into play on ten holes. The signature hole is #12, a 537-yard, par 5, requiring a shot from a scenic elevated tee, then an approach shot down to a double-tiered green that is guarded by water. Alfred H. Tull redesigned this course in 1947.

In baseball you hit your home run over the right-field fence, the left-field fence, the center-field fence. Nobody cares. In golf everything has got to be right over second base. ~Ken Harrelson
